In 2016, according to Google, the number of search requests for holiday in Greece increased by 42 percent compared to 2015. Meanwhile, interest of Russians increased to the UAE by 45 percent and to Turkey by 718!!!

Previously, Google reported that the proportion of independent tourists increased from 27 to 33 percent among Russian users of the service in 2016. Last year, the corresponding search requests were 50 percent more than in 2015. In the first quarter of 2017, this indicator grew by 73 percent.

Domestic destinations became the leader in terms of the number of tourist requests made by Russian Google users in 2016. Greece became the sixth country on this indicator. In principle it’s not bad.
