The Greek Cultural Centre in Moscow welcomes you
The Greek Cultural Centre is a public organization registered in August 2005.
The Centre sets itself noble goals of preserving and broadening of the Greek culture in Russia, the further strengthening and development of the Russian-Greek cultural interaction.
Our doors are open to all who care about the development of Greek culture and Hellenism in Russia and further strengthening of spiritual ties of the Russian and Greek peoples, with deep historical roots.
With pleasure, the Greek Cultural Center will support new ideas and projects, aiming at spiritual enrichment not only of the Greeks but also of Russians interested in the Greek culture.
The main objectives of the Centre are as follows:
- To carry out cultural and educational activities aimed at the spread of Greek culture through teaching of language, literature, history, dances, songs and so on, as well as to organize international conferences with participation of researchers from Russia, Greece, CIS and other countries or to assist in such dealing, in publication of books and much more besides;
- To create a permanent infrastructure, databases, libraries, cinematheques and so on;
- To maintain constant exchange of experience, ideas, and plans between the Diaspora and Philhellenes, including through regular meetings, evenings devoted to various anniversaries, events, etc. as well as evening lectures or series of lectures and so forth;
- To develop contacts with cultural centers in Greece and other countries aiming to coordinate the promotion of interests and organization of joint activities, and so forth;
- To provide material support to members of the diaspora, which are really in need it;
- To raise funds with aim to support to projects related to the implementation of the goals and objectives outlined above.
We count on your help, your enthusiasm and your ideas. We hope that the Center will become a home of warm and light, that attracts all interested in Greek culture.
