Amarino

The foam of Psiloritis!

Creamy and light, this cheese is made from sheep and goat milk, 25% (sheep) -75% (goat), produced immediately after pasteurization of milk, placed in special coagulation containers for 1 day, hanging in pants to expels its liquids and is packed in just 3 days after its production!

Low fat (only 16%), but rich in nutrition and delicacy.

The freshest cheese that can reach your table and be consumed purely or in dozens of salty and sweet recipes.

 

Cretan pancakes with fresh cheese and honey.

You can eat them at every time the day. They do not flatter you and offer you their unique and fluffy taste. Fresh cheese Amarino, the necessary in gredient for the origin of our pancake. Cretan pancake on your plate!

 

Ingredients

1½  cup flour for all uses sifted
4 tsp. bakin powder
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup whipping cream
2 eggs
3 tbs. melted butter that we have left to be cool
4 gr. vanilla
200 gr. Amarino
6 tbs.  honey
1 tsp. cinnamon

 

Implementation

Sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a bowl. Add the eggs, butter and cream. Stir well the porridge. Let the porridge rest for 10 minutes.

In a non-stick frying pan we put a piece of butter and, after licking and grasping all the surface, we take a ladle and half-fill it and pour it into the center of the pan. Bake it on one side, when the blisters come out in the pan, the bottom is ready, with a spatula turning it over to cook on the other side. We set them up like a tower, put Amarino and pour with honey. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
