Plastic bags in Greek stores become paid

Since January 1, 2018, plastic bags in Greek stores and supermarkets have become paid: now in Greece you need to pay 4 euro cents for one biodegradable plastic bag. This solution has been made in connection with steadily growing production and consumption of plastics. The figures of it are really disappointing.

According to environmentalists, due to the uncontrolled use of plastic bags, by 2050 the amount of plastic in the ocean will exceed the world’s fish stocks, and the destructive effect of plastics can last dozens, and even hundreds of years.
