The organizers and the Municipality of the oldest Venetian city invite you to the biggest summer festival of Crete – the 6th Cretan Diet Festival, to the very heart of the island, to the beautiful city of Rethymno.

This is the most authentic Cretan Festival, where people, the Cretan land and its gifts, gastronomy, culture, traditions and music are in high esteem.

In the period from July 1 to July 7, in the Rethymno Public Garden, between green alleys, producers of local products from all over the island and representatives of folklore will present to your attention all kinds of their products – an invaluable wealth of Cretan land and local traditions.

You will learn recipes for Cretan cookies, take part in cooking lessons from famous chefs, taste wine and products from Cretan winemakers, and the little guests will receive an active entertainment and educational program, a detailed list of which is included in the daily schedule of the Festival.

The exhibition of Cretan products is held daily from 9.00 to 14.00.

Music, dance performances, traditional Cretan and Greek shows will fill every evening with unforgettable impressions.

The Cretan Diet Festival is a kind of ark, combining all these elements, including the authenticity and uniqueness of Crete. And in this ark, all the guests – local and tourists from every corner of the world, as if invited to enjoy the gifts of the Cretan land, meet her people and have fun together.
