A popular site has published 20 of the most popular Greek names in 2018

The Babycenter blog has listed ancient Greek boys and girls names, which are more popular than the Western ones.

“The ancient Greeks have left the world with a legacy of ideas about science, art and philosophy,” the editors write, adding: “Their influence is felt today, and this applies to children’s names! Many modern names, such as Sophia and Alexander, originate from ancient Greece!»

For boys favorite names are Linus (means “flax”), Nikos (means “victory”) and Pamfilios (means “friend of all”).
